Vertical Tech Campus
Reimagining the workplace as a vertical campus
The Vertical Tech Campus is a new workplace development designed for an established web-services company, envisioned as a dense yet highly connected environment that brings together innovation, collaboration, and nature. Located in Midtown Dallas near the major LBJ freeway network, the project spans over one million square feet of office and retail space and is planned to accommodate approximately 10,500 employees. The design emphasizes a strong relationship with the natural environment, integrating green spaces and biophilic principles throughout to create a healthier, more engaging, and future-oriented workplace.

Vertical Tech Campus – A Dense and Connected Workplace in Dallas
The Vertical Tech Campus is a large-scale workplace development in Midtown Dallas, conceived as a next-generation environment that brings together density, connectivity, and nature. Spanning over one million square feet, the campus combines office and retail space to support a growing workforce within a highly integrated and future-oriented setting.
Positioned within a rapidly evolving mixed-use district, the project redefines the traditional corporate campus by stacking program vertically while maintaining strong connections between people, spaces, and landscape. The architecture is organised as a series of clustered volumes that shift and step to create terraces, bridges, and shared outdoor environments, fostering interaction and collaboration across the campus.
Three interconnected buildings form the core of the development, linked by elevated bridges that house meeting spaces, offices, and conferencing facilities. These connections are complemented by landscaped park terraces that extend the workplace outdoors, enabling a seamless relationship between interior and exterior environments.
The design responds to its dual urban context—balancing the scale and movement of the adjacent LBJ freeway with a more human-centered, pedestrian-friendly landscape. A central green spine connects amenities such as dining, recreation, and social spaces, creating a vibrant campus atmosphere that supports both productivity and wellbeing.
Biophilic design principles are embedded throughout the project, with lush planting integrated into terraces, façades, and shared spaces. Sculptural wood louvers provide shading and environmental performance while giving the campus a distinctive architectural identity. Large, flexible floorplates ensure adaptability for evolving workplace needs, supporting long-term usability and growth.
The Vertical Tech Campus represents a shift in workplace design—where high-density development is paired with access to nature, social connectivity, and wellbeing. It is a model for future corporate environments, offering a holistic setting where innovation, collaboration, and everyday experience are seamlessly integrated.
